Level 1 - Puppy Kindergarten
The main focus of this class is to socialize your new pup so they are more likely to become dogs that are easy to handle in public places around other people and other dogs. Introduction to simple commands such as sit, stay and come begin here. Pups can start this class at as young as 8 weeks. Please be sure to have started your vaccinations, talked to your vet and bring your proof of vaccinations with you to the first class. 6 week class.
Level 2
This class is for dogs aged six months and up. Now we are ready to perfect some of the skills we learned in Puppy Kindergarten, such as sit, stay, come, and heeling. A great class for continued socialization, as well as really getting those basic commands to be more reliable. Proof of vaccinations required at start of first class. 6 week class
Level 2 Review
This is a shorter four week class, used for dogs that have taken Level 2 (formally Basic Obedience) and need a refresher course. Great for getting your dog back out into the public and reminding them of what they know! Excellent times to take this class are before vacations, holidays, or any other outing where you want your dog to "shine". 4 week class.
Level 3
Level 3 is for students who have completed Level 2 successfully, and are ready for a bigger challenge. Included in Level 3 is many of the testing points on the CGC (Canine Good citizenship) test. An example would be, sitting nicely for petting, sit and down on command and stay in place. 6 week class
Kids With Dogs
This class teaches children how to interact in an appropriate manner with their canine friends. During the six week course the children enrolled will learn to respect the animal they are working with. Emphasis is placed on reading a dog's body language and understanding how they think and feel so that a child is less likely to be bitten or otherwise have a negative interaction with a dog. Some basic commands will also be part of the course, as well as everyday grooming and medical care. A fun new course! Try it!
Private Consultation
This option is for people that are having problems with their dogs in the home environment, or that have dogs that have behavioral problems that prevent them from attending class. Most consultations can be done in your home, and last about an hour. Having problems with a multiple dog household? This would be the choice for you. At the end of the consultation, you will be given recommendations in writing.
Private Instructional Lessons
If you cannot fit group classes into your schedule, or have a physical disability that precludes you from attending classes, we offer private sessions. Whatever your reason, private lessons are the right choice for some. Private lessons are 4 weeks long and last anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour each.
Pre-selection Services
Want some advice before adding a canine companion to your household? Pre-selection is exactly what you need. We can help you look at the lifestyle you lead and help you match a possible breed choice to your wants and needs. This process includes a home visit, and an optional visit to a local shelter or litter. Services can be exchanged for help choosing the right pup for you from a litter.
No electronic collars permitted in class, thank you!

Testimonials
"Annette was very patient with my one year old boxer. He is very rambunctious but she gave me the tools I need to calm him down and teach him to be obedient" |
