Facility Dog Program
Facility dog training is a specialized program designed to prepare your canine companion to become a certified facility dog, providing invaluable support and therapeutic benefits within your workplace environment. This comprehensive training process requires the approval and endorsement of your organization's administration, ensuring a seamless integration of the facility dog into the professional setting.
Numerous workplaces have recognized the profound advantages of introducing in-house therapy dogs, commonly referred to as facility dogs. Educational institutions, in particular, have emerged as exemplary environments for incorporating these furry companions, harnessing their unique ability to provide emotional support and create a nurturing atmosphere for students.
Our esteemed program has successfully certified facility dogs for various esteemed institutions, including Feildcrest (3), Streator (5), and Ottawa (4). Currently, we have an additional 8 promising puppies undergoing rigorous training, preparing them to serve the Ottawa and Streator school districts upon completion.
While the journey to becoming a certified facility dog is undoubtedly demanding, the positive impact these remarkable animals have on the school community is truly phenomenal. Their presence fosters a sense of calm, reduces stress levels, and contributes to an overall supportive and inclusive learning environment for students and staff alike.
