Success Stories

Facility Clients Focus

  • We are pleased to congratulate Ryan Stiver and his facility dog, Manhatten, on completing their therapy animal training program in record time. This outstanding achievement demonstrates Ryan's dedication to providing the highest quality care and therapeutic environment for his clients at Summit Family Therapy in Peoria. Having an in-house therapy dog like Hattie available for clients to interact with has been shown to have significant mental health benefits. Her sweet and calm presence brings a sense of comfort and support that complements the counseling process. We applaud Ryan and Hattie on this accomplishment and look forward to the positive impact they will continue to have through animal assisted therapy. • We are pleased to congratulate our newly certified facility dog teams on successfully completing their training and examinations. After dedicating over a year to attending classes and diligent practice, they have achieved full certification as therapy dogs. Notably, two of the dogs, Poppy and Lincoln, are sisters who had extra challenges to overcome, yet still managed to attain certification. We look forward to many rewarding years of these outstanding canine-handler pairs, including the sister duo, providing animal-assisted interventions and positively impacting the lives of students in the Ottawa/Marseilles schools. The compassion and comfort these dogs bring will be invaluable assets to the school communities. We applaud all of these teams, especially Poppy and Lincoln, on attaining this milestone and wish them the very best as they embark on their careers in animal-assisted therapy.
